Taonga We so often look at something or have something in our lives that we become comfortable and forget how truly magnificent it is. This is a piece of a view I’ m sure we are all familiar with in some form but we can get bogged down in daily grind and forget the beauty and treasure we all must protect.
The Rocks The Rocks was created when I initially moved to New Plymouth . It was a wonderful hot summer and I had a new home and a new dream. I spent many hours carving the surface of this work and turned up at work with a good case of sunburn to show for it.
Mountain in Mourning This piece is oil on board, The mountain is carved into the board to provide extra texture.
First Vision Mixed media piece of hope It is the vision that would have been seen out at sea by those coming to this land in the hope for a better tomorrow. $200.00.
The Cloud This piece is a mixed media using oil, hessian cloth, string and is painted on board. It was inspired when I moved into a tiny flat and the only view I had of the mountain was one on tiptoes through a top window in my very small kitchen.
